Do you do custom portraits?

YES! I have just started offering pet portrait commissions. At this stage pet commissions is all I will be taking, no family portraits at this stage sorry.  Commissions are very rewarding and I look forward to one day returning to offering all including people portraits. For now I would like to concertrate on perfecting my skills and techniques so that when I return I can be confident in providing the best quality piece possible for my clients. 

How long does a drawing take? 

Portraits can take anywhere between 6-15 hours depending on the level of difficulty, size and amount of detail required.

Why do you not do backgrounds?

I have always had difficulty in creating backgrounds and I often feel the work looks better showing the natural texture of the paper behind. There are obviously exceptions to this and one day I may change my mind, but for now I feel no backgrounds is an acceptable finish.  

How often do you ship?

When an order is placed it will be carefully wraped and shipped within 24 hours provided the following day is a business day.  

How long will my print order take?

Within Australia shipping will take between 2-7 business days. International orders will take between 7-14 business days. 

What materials do you use?

For colour pencil work I have a large focus around Faber Castel Polychromo pencils on cartridge pape, bristol board,  toned or Clairfontaine paper. Pastel work is done using Fabre Castel Pitt Pencils, Pan Pastels and Rembrandt soft pastel sticks on Clairefontaine Pastelmat Paper. Black and white pieces are usually done in graphite or charcoal pencils on cartridge paper.
